Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a data-driven and creative Email Marketing Specialist to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of email campaigns that engage, nurture, and convert our audience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in marketing automation, and passionate about creating high-performing email content that aligns with brand goals and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Management
Plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns including newsletters, promotions, onboarding sequences, and drip campaigns.

List Segmentation & Targeting
Segment subscriber lists to deliver personalized and relevant content based on user behavior, preferences, and demographics.

Email Design & Copywriting
Design visually appealing emails (using drag-and-drop editors or HTML) and craft compelling subject lines, CTAs, and body content.

Automation & Workflows
Build and manage automated email journeys for lead nurturing, retention, abandoned carts, post-purchase follow-ups, etc.

Performance Tracking
Monitor key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and unsubscribe rates; provide regular performance reports and insights.

A/B Testing & Optimization
Conduct A/B tests on subject lines, content, send times, and design elements to improve performance.

Compliance & Best Practices
Ensure compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other email marketing regulations; maintain healthy sender reputation and list hygiene.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with designers, copywriters, product teams, and digital marketers to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign alignment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 2–4+ years of experience in email marketing or CRM marketing
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar
- Strong understanding of email marketing metrics, deliverability, and list management
- Experience with marketing automation, customer segmentation, and personalization
- Basic HTML/CSS skills for email formatting and customization
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills with attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in eCommerce, SaaS, or subscription-based marketing
- Familiarity with SMS marketing and omni-channel campaign integration
- Design skills using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of CRM platforms and database management
- Certifications in email marketing or digital marketing (e.g., HubSpot, Google)

Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field
(Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of a degree)
Experience:
- 2–4+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing, CRM, or digital marketing roles
- Proven success in planning and executing email campaigns across different stages of the customer journey
- Experience with A/B testing, list segmentation, automation workflows, and performance optimization
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in major email marketing platforms such as:
- Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar
- Familiarity with:
- Email automation and drip campaigns
- Customer segmentation and personalization
- Basic HTML/CSS for email formatting and editing
- CRM and contact database tools
- Strong understanding of email KPIs (open rate, CTR, bounce rate, unsubscribe rate, etc.)
Analytical & Strategic Skills:
- Ability to interpret campaign metrics and generate actionable insights
- Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, including sender reputation, deliverability, and inbox placement
- Experience with A/B testing strategies and using data to inform decisions
Creative & Communication Skills:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
- Understanding of tone, voice, and brand consistency
- Eye for clean, engaging email layouts and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams
Compliance & Regulations:
- Knowledge of email marketing laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM)
- Commitment to maintaining list hygiene and data privacy
Soft Skills:
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:
