Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to manage the company’s purchasing activities and vendor relationships. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing quality products and services at competitive prices, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to support business operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Sourcing
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, service, and delivery capabilities
Request and analyze quotations, bids, and proposals for products and services

Contract Management
Negotiate and administer purchase agreements, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company policies
Maintain accurate records of contracts, supplier information, and pricing structures

Order & Inventory Management
Place purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels

Vendor Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors
Evaluate vendor performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing

Cost Optimization
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement strategies to reduce spending
Analyze purchasing trends and recommend improvements in sourcing strategies

Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulations
Generate regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and vendor performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles
- Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
Preferred Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP are a plus

Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field
- Relevant certifications are a plus, such as:
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)
- CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost control
- Familiarity with sourcing international and domestic suppliers
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Coupa)
- Strong knowledge of purchase order processes, inventory management, and supply chain logistics
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets and data analysis
- Ability to generate and interpret procurement and cost reports
Soft Skills:
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills for building and managing supplier relationships
Knowledge & Compliance:

- Familiarity with risk management, cost reduction strategies, and sustainable sourcing
- Ability to maintain accurate procurement records and ensure regulatory compliance
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel for supplier meetings or audits (if required)
- Experience in specific industries (e.g., manufacturing, construction, healthcare, or retail) may be preferred depending on the organization
