Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to oversee and streamline our daily business operations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for optimizing internal processes, managing cross-functional teams, improving productivity, and ensuring that business objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This role is key to driving operational excellence and supporting overall company growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight
    Supervise and coordinate daily business activities across departments
    Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices
    Monitor performance metrics and ensure smooth workflow across teams

  • Team Leadership & Management
    Lead, mentor, and support department heads and staff to foster a high-performance culture
    Conduct regular meetings and reviews to track progress and address challenges
    Oversee staffing, training, and performance evaluations

  • Process Optimization & Efficiency
    Identify bottlenecks and areas for process improvement
    Develop strategies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and boost productivity
    Oversee implementation of new tools, technologies, or systems

  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation
    Collaborate with finance to prepare and manage budgets
    Allocate resources efficiently to meet operational goals
    Analyze cost structures and ensure profitability targets are met

  • Compliance & Risk Management
    Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and industry regulations
    Mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity plans are in place

  • Strategic Planning & Reporting
    Contribute to long-term business strategies and planning
    Prepare regular reports for executive leadership on performance, KPIs, and business health
    Analyze data to make informed business decisions


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in operations management or a similar leadership role
  • Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, finance, production, and supply chain
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus and preferred for senior roles

Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in operations, business management, or process improvement roles
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in overseeing complex projects, managing budgets, and improving operational efficiency

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com, MS Project)
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills using Excel or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Understanding of workflow optimization, supply chain logistics, and inventory management systems

Leadership & Management Skills:

  • Strong team leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Excellent decision-making and strategic planning abilities
  • Ability to delegate tasks, manage conflict, and drive team accountability
  • Skilled at coordinating across multiple departments or business units

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and risks
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, health and safety standards, and industry-specific regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as:
    • PMP (Project Management Professional)
    • Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
    • CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, retail, tech, or services
  • Familiarity with KPI tracking, OKRs, and performance measurement tools
