Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and analytical Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize our inventory operations. The Inventory Manager is responsible for managing stock levels, tracking inventory movements, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This role is vital in reducing costs, preventing stockouts or overstocking, and improving overall warehouse and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock audits, reconciliations, and updates
Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages or overstocking
Implement inventory control procedures and improve accuracy across all storage locations

Procurement & Reordering
Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to replenish stock based on lead times, sales trends, and seasonality
Set and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for critical items

Warehouse Coordination
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock handling, labeling, and storage
Optimize inventory layout for easy access and efficient picking processes

Data Analysis & Reporting
Use inventory management software to track KPIs, generate reports, and analyze inventory performance
Identify and resolve discrepancies or variances between physical stock and system data

Team Management
Supervise inventory clerks or stock handlers and provide training on inventory processes
Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and company policies

Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to improve inventory turnover and accuracy
Support digital transformation or automation of inventory tracking systems when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Zoho, Fishbowl)
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, stock optimization, and warehouse best practices
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced Excel or data analysis skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical inventory counts and occasional lifting (if required)
- Familiarity with barcoding, RFID, or automated inventory systems

Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- (Preferred) Certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
Experience:
- 3–5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain roles
- Proven track record of managing and optimizing inventory processes and systems
- Experience working with ERP systems or inventory management software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl, Zoho, QuickBooks Commerce)
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in inventory control systems, barcoding, and stock reconciliation tools
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and dashboards
- Familiarity with automated inventory tracking, RFID systems, or barcode scanners
- Understanding of inventory KPIs: inventory turnover, days of inventory, stock accuracy, etc.
Operational & Organizational Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to optimize storage and warehouse layout for maximum efficiency
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations, shipping processes, and inventory documentation
Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
- Capable of using data to forecast demand, reduce excess inventory, and prevent stockouts
- Ability to develop and implement inventory control procedures and continuous improvement plans
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to react quickly to inventory-related issues
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with procurement, operations, and warehouse teams

- High level of integrity and accountability, especially when handling inventory data and reports
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in industries such as eCommerce, retail, manufacturing, or distribution
- Experience with multi-location or international inventory management
- Familiarity with just-in-time (JIT), FIFO/LIFO, or lean inventory practices
- Ability to lift and move physical inventory (if required for the role)
