Job Description

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, preparing accurate reports, and supporting the company’s overall financial health.

You will work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to maintain efficient financial operations, support budgeting processes, and ensure timely reporting and reconciliation of accounts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records including general ledger entries, invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Process payroll and employee reimbursements, if applicable.
  • Support internal and external audits with required documentation and reports.
  • Assist with forecasting and financial planning activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Xero, or ERP systems).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification (preferred or in progress).
  • Experience with financial audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with budgeting tools or business intelligence software.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent are a plus (or in progress).

Experience:

  • 2–4 years of proven experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
  • Experience in managing general ledger functions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Prior experience with tax filings, audits, or payroll is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as:
    • QuickBooks
    • Tally
    • Xero
    • SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling).
  • Familiarity with bank reconciliation, journal entries, and financial statements.

Analytical & Organizational Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Professional integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of local tax laws and compliance procedures.
  • Experience supporting audits and financial forecasting.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost control processes.
  • Understanding of payroll systems and employee expense processes.
