Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our creative team. You will be responsible for editing engaging, high-quality video content for a variety of platforms including social media, digital campaigns, websites, ads, and more. From concept to final cut, you'll shape stories that capture attention and align with our brand voice and goals.

This role requires a creative eye, technical expertise, and the ability to turn raw footage into polished visual stories that resonate with diverse audiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit video content for marketing campaigns, social media, product launches, internal communications, and more.
  • Cut, trim, and assemble footage into compelling stories that align with brand guidelines.
  • Add music, sound effects, voiceovers, motion graphics, and basic animations to enhance video quality.
  • Collaborate with content creators, marketers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals.
  • Organize and manage media assets efficiently for quick turnaround and reusability.
  • Optimize videos for different formats and platforms (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, web, mobile).
  • Stay current with video trends, editing techniques, and platform best practices.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, pacing, branding, and messaging across all videos.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in video editing or content production.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and audio editing tools is a plus.
  • Strong storytelling ability and attention to pacing, transitions, and rhythm.
  • Familiarity with different video formats, resolutions, and codecs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with motion graphics, color grading, or VFX.
  • Background in filming or directing shoots.
  • Understanding of SEO and engagement strategies for video content.
  • Familiarity with YouTube Studio, Meta Business Suite, or TikTok Creator Tools.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, Communication, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of professional experience in video editing or content creation.
  • Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing editing, storytelling, and technical abilities.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as:
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Final Cut Pro
    • DaVinci Resolve
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and visual effects using:
    • After Effects
    • Photoshop
  • Knowledge of video formats, codecs, frame rates, and resolution standards.
  • Ability to edit for multiple platforms (e.g., social media, YouTube, digital ads, web).
  • Basic color correction and audio editing/mixing skills.

Creative & Storytelling Skills:

  • Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and storytelling through visual media.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency.
  • Understanding of how to use music, transitions, and visuals to enhance narrative.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both creative and marketing teams.
  • Receptive to feedback and open to revisions.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience filming or assisting in video production (camera, lighting, audio).
  • Familiarity with social media platform requirements (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
  • Knowledge of content optimization and video performance metrics.
  • Experience with animation, typography, or storytelling for branded content.
