Job Description
About the Role:
We’re looking for a UI Animator who can create smooth, delightful, and meaningful animations that enhance user experiences. As a UI Animator, you’ll collaborate with product designers, developers, and UX researchers to bring visual interactions to life—adding motion that improves usability, provides feedback, and strengthens our brand.
This is a key creative role focused on micro-interactions, transitions, onboarding animations, interactive feedback, and motion storytelling across web and mobile interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create UI animations that guide users, enhance interactivity, and add personality to digital products.
- Collaborate with product designers, developers, and UX teams to understand functionality, user flows, and technical requirements.
- Develop animated prototypes, motion studies, and transitions for interfaces, components, and screens.
- Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and contribute to evolving the motion design system.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure animations are implemented smoothly and optimally.
- Stay current with UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices in motion design and interaction.
- Participate in user testing and design iteration based on feedback and usability insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion Design, Interaction Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4+ years of experience in UI animation, motion graphics, or interactive design.
- Proficiency in tools like After Effects, Figma, Principle, Lottie, Framer, Adobe Animate, or similar.
- Solid understanding of animation principles, interaction design, and human-centered UX.
- Experience designing motion for digital products (web/mobile apps).
- Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing UI animation, transitions, and interaction design.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, intuitive animations that enhance usability.
- Great attention to detail and understanding of timing, rhythm, and feedback in motion.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
- Experience with motion implementation using tools like Lottie, CSS animation, or front-end frameworks.
- Knowledge of accessibility considerations in motion design.
- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) is a plus.
- Experience with 3D or immersive interfaces (AR/VR) is a bonus.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Motion Design, Animation, Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, or a related field.
- 2–4+ years of professional experience in UI animation, motion design, or interaction design.
- A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing UI animations, micro-interactions, and motion-enhanced user experiences.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in animation and prototyping tools such as:
- After Effects
- Figma (with motion plugins)
- Principle
- Lottie / Bodymovin
- Framer / Protopie / Adobe Animate
- Understanding of animation principles (timing, easing, anticipation, etc.).
- Ability to design and deliver motion for UI components, page transitions, feedback animations, and user flows.
- Familiarity with responsive design and motion systems across devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).
Design & UX Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and how motion enhances usability.
- Experience collaborating with product designers, engineers, and UX teams.
- Ability to balance aesthetics with functional purpose in animations.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- High attention to detail and consistency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Openness to feedback and iteration.
Nice to Have:
- Basic front-end knowledge (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) or experience working closely with developers to implement animations.
- Experience with interactive animations using Lottie, CSS animations, or JavaScript-based libraries (e.g., GSAP).
- Awareness of accessibility guidelines related to motion (e.g., prefers-reduced-motion).
- Experience with 3D motion or AR/VR interfaces is a plus.
